『MUYU』

エクアドルの伝統的な『MUYU』型によるもので、かつて山岳地帯の先住民から借りた帽子から型を起こしたと言われています。一般的な中折れ帽の形は数多く存在しますが、この型は今回製作を依頼した工房ならではの独特な形状が特徴で、デザインとしてだけではなく、実際に中折れとしての機能を果たすものでもあります。いずれもスベリにはウォッシャブルレザーを使用し、内側にエクアドルカラーの紐を通しており、サイズ調節が可能です。このサイズ調節機能を備えたスベリもまた、他に類をみないものです。
NEXUSVII. によるこの黒とオリーブグリーンの染めを施したものは特に、歳月とともに徐々に褪色し自分だけのものとなってゆく、経年変化を味わえることこそが醍醐味ともいえます。
